Journal of Air Law and Commerce is a journal that deals with legal issues related to aerospace. (There is a Wikipedia article on this series.) One hundred and a half years ago, The All India Reporter (AIR) was conceived as a legal magazine that reports cases with their top notes from all the high courts of India and the Privy Council. Given the infrastructure available in Nagpur, it was a Herculean task, but our founder took on this task with the selfless purpose of serving his brothers in the legal fraternity. At the time, such a comprehensive review covering cases from all over India was not available. As a successful lawyer, he understood the needs of lawyers. His goal was therefore fast, accurate and reliable reporting at the best price. The All India Reporter as an organization can be proud of any humility, as a pioneer in the field of legal publications and for the revolution in the legal publishing industry. In addition to designing the first and only pan-Indian publication Law Reports, we have many firsts on our account. The AIR manual series, summaries on various topics, in-depth and most researched commentary on various plots and topics have all been published under the AIR banner. With the advent of e-media as a reliable and convenient means of transmitting information, AIR has entered the electronic database segment. All our journals, publications and databases are now available both on CD-ROM and on the web. Thus, AIR is present in all three media of transmission of information – print services, CD-ROM and Web, which makes it a very robust and virile legal publishing house that meets the needs of the market without compromising the fundamental belief of optimal quality at all costs. In addition to editorial excellence, AIR has always believed in the founder`s philosophy of “Optimal service at the most economical price”.
Although this mantra has now found its place in all management practices, these values were adopted by the founder more than a decade ago, when we were operating in an almost monopolistic market. And ten decades later, we are still guided by the gospel preached and practiced by our Founder. His vivid testimonial is the incredible wealth of information we provide to all our customers at the cheapest subscription prices in the industry. We can also boast of having all the infrastructure to publish our publications under one roof. From receiving verdicts from all over India to publishing, prepressing, printing, postpress and shipping – all these activities are carried out under one roof. We have reader retention of nearly 1 million readers and ship nearly 100,000 books per month. The market and the need for a reliable and economical source of information is increasing and we want to provide the best possible service. We invite you to contribute to this saga of growth and to be part of this living legend. The Journal of Space Law is the world`s oldest journal devoted to space law.
