When Newton clarified all the details, it was possible to accurately explain the small deviations from this image caused by the fact that the motion of the earth`s surface is not a uniform movement in a straight line.

In Newton`s formulation, the general observation that bodies that are not pushed tend to come to a standstill is attributed to the fact that they have unbalanced forces acting on them, such as friction and air resistance.
